Michaël Verheyden began his career his career as a fashion and accessories designer collaborating with the most prestigious names of the fashion industry. He designed his first objects and furniture in 2009, and for the past 10 years, he has fine-tuned his signature by building an strong collection of lighting, tables, chairs and home accessories.
Verheyden's practice is driven by a search for balance and rightness. He draws obects that embed a strong presence yet blend in interiors. In ARCHETYPES, he tackles functional objects with a taste for technical efficiency and crafted materiality. His attention to the tactile and visual qualities of materials confers to each of his piece of furniture the simplicity and strength of an new archetype.
